A beautiful and colorful pendant necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, this necklace begins with a dainty cable chain, which secures with a spring ring clasp. The center of the chain features a large crescent pendant, which is encrusted with opals and diamonds. The pendant features 13 oval-cut opal cabochons, which vary in size. The opals display amazing flashes of red, green, blue, and yellow. The pendant also features 10 small bead-set single cut diamonds, which display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The two points of the crescent feature delicate milgrain-detailing. An absolutely fabulous piece, this necklace would make a bold addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements:The chain has a total length of 15.5″, and the pendant has a width of 1 3/8″ and a height of 1 1/4″.
Condition:The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold chain, and the spring ring clasp is secure and in working order. The pendant is securely attached, and all of the opals and diamonds are intact.
