An absolutely exquisite 3-stone diamond and sapphire ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece is crafted in platinum and adorns a single sapphire stone resting in the center of two old baguette cut diamonds. The prong set center stone is a natural, unheated Ceylon sapphire and exhibits fantastic cornflower blue color. The stone, which is larger than the outer two diamonds, is an oval cut and has a total approximate weight of 3.70ct. The two diamonds, which are also prong set, each weigh approximately 0.20ct, with a total approximate weight of 0.40ctw, and have I color and VS range clarity. A simple polished band continues around to the back, giving the ring a simple yet elegant design. The color of the sapphire is absolutely beautiful and the subtle yet fantastic design looks wonderful on. The ring is accompanied by a GIA Sapphire Origin report, #6224043582 confirming that the center sapphire originated in Sri Lanka and shows no indications of heating. It is a gorgeous ring which could be worn as an everyday piece or would make a unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has finger size 6.5 but could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all three stones are intact.
