A beautiful star ruby halo ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a bezel-set 6ct star ruby, which has not been treated with heat. The oval-shaped cabochon display an incredible reddish-purple hue, and is surrounded by a halo of diamonds. The diamonds, which create the halo, are all old single cut diamonds, and are held within bead-settings. The dainty diamonds carry onto the shoulders of the ring, which feature a subtle twist-design. Overall, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .60ctw and display H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The gallery of the ring features a swirling-motif cutout design, and the band of the ring is decorated with lovely swirling and wheat-motif engravings. The inside of the band is stamped “10% IRID PLAT” and with a maker’s mark which reads: “B&R”. An incredibly colorful piece, this ring would make a fantastic addition to any Art Deco-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 6.25, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 1.4mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no damage to the platinum mounting, and all of the stones are secure and intact.
