A beautiful gold and amethyst bangle bracelet from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This stunning 14k bangle features 3 square cut amethyst stones, which are held in place by 8-pronged settings. The amethyst stones create a lovely contrast to the gold tone of the piece. Each stone is bordered on both sides by foliage-motif etchings, and the entire surface of the bracelet is decorated with two, etched stripes, which are further decorated with small circles. The inside of the bangle is stamped with a “14K” purity mark, and the letter “C” within an arrowhead, which indicates that the piece was created by Carter, Gough, & Co. in Newark, NJ. A truly fabulous and intricate bracelet, this bangle would make the perfect addition to any Edwardian jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 3/8″ wide and approximately 2 1/4″ tall. The surface of the bracelet is a little under 1/4″ wide and 1/16″ thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the amethyst stones are secure and intact.
