A exquisite banded agate bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this stunning piece features six circular banded agate stones held within bezel settings. The stones are smoothly polished, and display a deep brownish black color banded with a stripe of bright white. The thick surface of the bracelet is adorned with intricate etched scrolling motifs, which add to the unique charm of the piece. The inside of the bracelet features a personalized engraving which reads: “In memory of A. C. Cumberbatch Oct. 24th 1875”. The bracelet secures with a hidden push clasp. A truly wonderful example of Victorian-era craftsmanship, the marvelous bangle would make the perfect addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurement: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4″ wide and 2″ tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting, and all of the banded agate stones are secure and intact. The hidden push clasp is in working order.
