This gorgeous coral ring from the late Victorian era (ca1890) era is a signed piece by Maison Birks! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the ring features a beautiful coral stone that is bezel set at the center of a decorative ellipse-shaped mounting. The elongated coral stone is substantial in size and exhibits a vibrant oxblood color. The mounting of the ring is adorned with scrolling cutout motifs, which add a unique touch to the ring. A smooth gold band completes the design, which is stamped with the authentic “BIRKS” signature hallmark and a “14KT” purity mark. A magnificent statement piece, this beautiful ring by a prominent maker would add pop of color to any ensemble, and is perfect for the turquoise lover!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7, but could be easily re-sized up or down if desired. The coral centerpiece measures 1″ tall, 5/8″ wide, and rests about 1/4″ high.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or coral stone, which is intact. There is a natural patina on the gold surface that gives it an antiqued appearance, which is normal for jewelry from the late Victorian era and adds to its character.
