Victorian 14kt Foil Backed Art Glass Cherub Necklace

An exquisite cherub necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and features an art glass cherub face resting between a set of feathered angel wings. The angelic details are exceptional, showing fine facial features, curled hair and realistic individual feathers. Surrounding the entire outer surface is a rosy yellow gold bezel setting. and the back of the piece is foil backed, which gives the translucent art glass an incredible semi-iridescent appearance. The winged cherub pendant hangs from a delicate yellow gold chain, which attaches to the back of each wing at a simple hidden bail. This spectacular and unusual necklace has an incredible look and would make a fabulous addition to any collection!

Measurements: The necklace measures 17″ long. The pendant measures 1 5/8″ wide, 3/4″ tall and is 1/4″ thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, chain, or art glass cherub. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
