A spectacular and colorful amethyst ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, this ring features a solitaire emerald cut amethyst stone. The amethyst displays a luscious purple hue, and is held within a clawed four-prong setting. The amethyst is surrounded by a lovely frame, which features filigree-detailing and vibrant enameling. The enameling incorporates green and orange hues, which create a vivid contrast to the amethyst’s coloring. The shoulders of the ring feature delicate foliage-motif engravings, and the remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank is stamped with a “14K” purity mark. A marvelous piece, this ring would make a fantastic gift for any antique jewelry connoisseur!
Measurements: The ring is a size 8, but could easily be resized. The centerpiece measures 1/2″ tall and 3/8″ wide. The band has a width of 1.9mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the amethyst and enamel detailing are both intact.
