A fantastic garnet ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in muted 9k old, this ring features a solitaire bezel-set oval-shaped garnet cabochon. The garnet displays a deep red hue, which wonderfully contrasts the gold mounting. The shoulders and gallery of the ring feature intricate engravings, which add to the antique appeal of the piece. Each shoulder features a shield-shaped plaque, which has been carved to resemble foliage. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is stamped with a maker’s mark, which reads “DWT”, a crown, “375” purity mark, lion’s head, and the letter “N”. These hallmarks indicate that the piece was created in England. A fantastic piece, this ring would make a great addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring is a size 7.75, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.1mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the garnet cabochon is secure and intact.
