A wonderful sapphire and diamond bypass ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the front of this darling ring features two distinct stones, which meet to form a “Moi et Toi” (“Me and You”) design. One of the stones is a .20ct round cut sapphire, which is held within a six-prong setting, and displays a deep greenish-blue hue. The other stone is a .30ct mine cut diamond, which is also held within a six-prong setting. The diamond displays H/I color and VS1-SI1 clarity. The shoulders of the ring feature lovely repoussé detailing, which incorporates lovely scrolling-motifs. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is marked with an illegible hallmark. A fantastic piece, this ring would look lovely worn alone, or paired with other antique rings!
Measurements: The ring is currently a size 9, but could easily be resized. The band has a width of 2.3mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and both stones are intact and securely set.
