A gorgeous pair of garnet Victorian Revival earrings from the Retro (ca1940s) era! Crafted in vibrant 14k yellow gold, these earring begin with a kite-shaped surmount, which features a prong-set oval-shaped garnet cabochon. The kite-shaped link is also decorated with subtle milgrain-detailing. The earrings then features a larger kite-shaped link, which features an additional prong-set garnet cabochon. The surface of the link is decorated with chevron-motif engravings, and the component is surrounded by thin, wirework scrolling-motifs. All 4 of the garnet cabochons display a deep reddish-purple hue, which wonderfully contrasts the yellow gold setting. The earrings are completed by simple posts and friction backs, which are stamped “14K”. An elegant pair, these earrings would be perfect for any special event or occasion!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 1 1/4″ long and measure about 1/2″ at their widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting, and all of the garnets are secure and intact. The posts and friction backs are both intact and in working order.
