Victorian 14k Amethyst & Pearl Festoon Necklace

A gorgeous festoon necklace from the Victorian period (ca1880)! This stunning piece features 7 graduating pear cut amethyst drop links that hang from a 14kt gold chain in a festoon style. The amethyst links are beautifully faceted and have a lovely deep purple color that looks spectacular paired with the gold accents! Connecting the links are lengths of fine chain, delicate seed pearls, and scrolling accents that complete the gorgeous feminine design. The gold chain fastens in the back with a spring ring clasp, and the necklace drapes beautifully at the neckline when worn. A beautiful Victorian era design, it would look wonderful worn everyday or on special occasions!

Measurements: The necklace measures 17.25″ long. The tear drops range in size, with the largest hanging 1/2″ long and the smallest hanging 3/8″ long.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the faceted amethyst links, all of which are intact. The chain is in good condition and the clasp is secure.
