Victorian 18k Hand Coral Skull Ring

This fabulous ring pairs a Victorian (ca1880) era coral skull with a handmade 18kt gold setting, creating a fantastic compilation piece! The natural coral is meticulously hand carved, creating a detailed miniature replica of a human skull. The 3-dimensional design is complete with realistic facial features, including hollowed eye sockets, defined cheekbones, and a square jaw with individual rows of teeth. The heavy gold band is wide at the shoulders, tapering in towards the back and stamped “18K” inside. Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7.5, however it could easily be sized if desired. The front of the ring measures approximately 3/4″ tall and 1/2″ wide, and the surface of the ring rests approximately 3/8″ above the finger when worn.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or coral skull. The coral shows natural color variation and three small holes drilled at the sides and top, which are not noticeable when worn.
