A charming and finely detailed butterfly pin from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k and sterling silver, the wings and abdomen of this elegant butterfly are encrusted with bead-set rose cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of .85ctw. A luscious, bezel-set emerald acts as the insect’s thorax, and 2 vivid ruby cabochons represent the butterfly’s eyes. The butterfly is attached to a rosy gold pin, which opens and closes securely with a simple pin clasp. One end of the pin is decorated with a singular milky white pearl, and the pin clasp is stamped with a French hallmark. A spectacular and color pin, this piece would make a spectacular addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The pin has a total length of 2″ and measures 3/4″ at its tallest point.
Condition: The pin is in excellent condition. There is no apparent damage to the gold and sterling silver setting, and all of the stones are intact and securely set. The pin clasp is secure and in working order.
