Victorian French 18kt Pink Enamel & Diamond Flower Pin

A magnificent flower pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous French piece is crafted in 18kt gold and has an incredibly realistic design. The pin portrays a gorgeous flower in bloom, which is quite substantial in size and comes to life in 3-dimensional detail. The life-like design consists of six individual petals that overlap each other at the sides, with delicate folds and curled edges. Covering both sides of the piece is a fine enameled design with hand painted details. The petals are magenta and light pink at the tips, fading to pale yellow at the center. Fine pink veins add further detail, and an old Mine Cut diamond is bezel set at the center, adding a wonderful sparkle to the already beautiful design! The back of the piece reveals a gold bar pin, which is stamped with French hallmarks and fastens securely to a favorite garment. Measurements: The flower measures 1 3/4″ in diameter and is approximately 1/4″ thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or enamel detail, which is free of any significant chips or surface scratches. The diamond at the center is intact and securely set. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
