A lovely gold-filled locket pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This circular-shaped piece is adorned on both the front and backside with dainty-engravings. The engravings include swirling, floral, foliage, and a singular flag-shaped motif. The side of the latch features a simple latch, which allows the locket to open and close securely. The inside of the piece features 2 hollow compartments, which would allow the wearer to conceal sentimental photographs or mementos. The top of the locket features a complimentary bail. A darling locket, this piece would make a heartfelt addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The diameter of the locket measures just over 3/4″, and the piece has a height of 1″.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold-filled locket which opens easily and closes securely. The complimentary bail is secure and in working order.
