A unique pendant from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this rare pendant resembles a long, thin horse leg. The top of the leg features a copper-toned cap, which is attached to a complementary bail. The “leg” is carved from horn, and displays a lovely brown hue, and includes white and taupe marbling throughout. The bottom of the leg features a sterling silver horseshoe. The horseshoe features an additional six nails, which add to the life-like quality of the pendant. A substantial piece, this pendant would be perfect for any equestrian or Victorian-jewelry collection!
Measurements: The fob pendant is approximately 3″ tall and measures 5/8″ at its widest point.
Condition: The fob pendant is overall in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting, or to the carved horn. The complementary bail is secure and intact.
