Victorian Sterling Silver Moonstone Graduated Festoon Necklace

An absolutely stunning moonstone necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous necklace is comprised of moonstone links which hang in a festoon style from a fine sterling silver rope chain. The beautiful moonstones are circular in shape and graduate very slightly in size. Each is prong set with an open back and surrounded by a simple sterling silver frame. The moonstones are gorgeous and clear with subtle flashes of blue which looks wonderful against the vibrant silver setting and chain. The necklace has a push clasp which closes securely at the nape. The necklace rests beautifully along the collar of the neck and looks stunning on. It’s a simply marvelous necklace that would be a perfect piece worn for any special occasion!

Measurements: The necklace chain measures approximately 15″ long. The oval shaped moonstone links range in size from 4.95mm long and a little less than 4.88mm wide being the largest and 8.99mm long and 8.89mm wide being the smallest.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver chain or settings, and all of the moonstones are intact. The push clasp is secure and in good working condition.
